The biggest attraction of the carbon fiber upgrade is that its aerodynamic advantage is better than the box-section aluminum rim. As a third-party research institute like Hambini Engineering proves, our aerodynamic characteristics can significantly reduce drag. If you are in a race, whether you are working around the clock in a time trial or in a road race, deep-disk carbon fiber wheels will be significantly different at higher speeds without causing the weight disadvantage of alloy wheels.
We provide many modern wide road rims. When the rim width is close to the actual width of the tire, the airflow tends to be smoother than the bulb shape of a wide tire and a narrow rim.
DSB Dynamic Speed Balancer
In order to make the rim as light as possible, it is unacceptable to increase the weight to achieve wheel balance. We use Dynamic Speed Balance (DSB™) in the design of the rim rack, which is a unique bicycle wheel balancing system that can achieve perfect rotating wheel balance without additional weight or accessories. Compared with rims without wheels, shaking can be reduced by at least 90%. Has a weight balance system.
FTI Fast Tire Installation
Our deeper bead channel allows easy installation and removal of tires. We carried out a tubeless simple installation test on the rim, and the result was great! Most of our rims are easy to install with tire levers, and some of them can even be easily installed manually.
WSR Weight To Stiffness Ratio
We use thinner prepregs to better control the layup. In an area that usually has 9 different layers, we may have 12 layers but the same thickness. The more layers, the greater the effect on the rigidity of the rim when we change the direction between the layers. A wider range of materials allows us to make lighter rims without losing the required stiffness.
ERA Environmentally-Friendly Release Agent
A release agent is applied to the mold to increase the ease of removing the rim. The most commonly used release agent in the production of carbon rims is oily and mixed with a small amount of wax. After being removed from the mold, some residues will remain on the rim surface, so wet sandblasting is used. This is not the choice of our professional version box. Finding an effective release agent that is as green as possible has proven to be a challenge. We chose the more expensive Henkel and Chem-Trend, and decided our choice based on the performance of the product. This non-transferable release agent forms a microfilm by chemically bonding with the mold surface. The film remains stable at high temperatures and can withstand temperatures up to 400°C. After the molding process, the release agent flashes off, so no sanding is required. The application of the release agent is crucial: the mold must be heated to a specific temperature before it can be used, and it must be spread very uniformly. We use thermal cameras to check our work.
